Spring Spider Sale! (I’m going on holiday next month)

I am continuing to clear stock so I will be reducing many of my tarantulas and I am also open to offers on those tarantulas that are not already reduced. All my tarantulas are captive bred.

I do not sex tarantulas, I am well aware that ideally, we would all like females however nature does not work like that!

Common Name: Dominican Purple Tarantula
Scientific Name: Phormictopus species

Status : Captive Bred

Country of origin - Dominican Republic
Habitat: Ground dwelling
Suitability: Not overly aggressive but large and not for handling

My Opinion:
The Dominican Purple is a very large, stunningly beautiful, bulky and 'furry' tarantula. They are seldom seen in the hobby. Not overly aggressive but an imposing spider due to its size. They make a good display animal as they tend to sit out in the open but I wouldn't recommend handling.

It is difficult to give a size for the spiders as stock is constantly changing. Generally, the small size is a spiderling up to 1cm body length (small will be SMALL), juvenile is a grown on spiderling with a body length of 1cm to 1.5cm, medium 2cm to 4cm and a large is 4cm to fully adult (but a lot depends on the species!)
