I am having a break from work (still feeding & cleaning the bugs continually!) until Monday 6th January. I will catch up with emails and orders upon my return.
Royal Mail is just too unreliable to post my precious bugs during December.
Happy Christmas & Best Wishes for the New Year x
I will resume posting orders from Monday 6th January 2025 (weather permitting)
Common Name: Horned Baboon Tarantula
Scientific Name: Ceratogyrus darlingi
Status: Captive Bred
Country of origin - Southern Africa
Habitat: Ground dwelling
Suitability: Not for beginners, can be aggressive
My Opinion:
Although I am not usually a fan of African Baboon spiders, I do think the Horned Baboons are very pretty and the little 'horn' on the carapace is very cute. They are an aggressive spider but not in the same league as others like the Ornamental Baboon and Orange Baboon. They are large and impressive.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is difficult to give a size for the spiders as stock is constantly changing. Generally, the small size is a spiderling up to 1cm body length (small will be SMALL), juvenile is a grown on spiderling with a body length of 1cm to 2cm, medium 2cm to 4cm and a large is 4cm to fully adult (but a lot depends on the species!)
I am happy to send a photo of any size tarantula spider that you are interested in, just email me!
All spiders are unsexed unless stated.
